Jenn has these beautiful service berry trees in her gorgeous back yard. I have never had a service berry before in my life and I loved them. They taste, to me, like a cross between a blueberry and a raspberry. As you can see they are slightly smaller than a blueberry and red to purple in color.

We picked so many cups of these plump berries. First we made two pies and honestly I think it was the best berry pie I have ever eaten.

Then we made muffins. So good.

Then we decided we had to try jam.

I love how these are trees and not bushes.
